Our Background
About Yiyi
Hi! My name is Yiyi Huang! I am a junior at Wissahickon High School. From a young age, I was always interested in biology and the way the human body functions. Medical school was something I put on my goals for the future, early on. Though, I never knew what exactly I wanted to major in. Over the last few years, my grandpa slowly started showing signs of Parkinson's, but no one in my family knew until he finally went to the doctor. Our family dove head first into researching everything about Parkinson's Disease, in hopes to help my grandpa. Influenced by them, I decided to take AP Psychology and realized how much I enjoyed learning about neurology. Finally, my mom and I started 4ourbrains.org to try and spread awareness about Parkinson's. We focus on both English and Chinese translations of our research, specifically so that people in China with limited access can also learn with us!
